Dad dancing is cool. There should be more of it.

and i mean celebrated!
it was a cracking barbecue party for around 40 good friends and neighbours as well as my 'never jw' cousins and one of my brothers and his family.. .
drank a bit too much, embarrassed my kids with some 'dad dancing' and laughed until 2 in the morning.
Happy bithday Nic.

Where is New Zealand?
personally i believe we are.. your thoughts?.
how will it turn out?.
what can/should we do?.
My grandparents worried about the lives their grandchildren would have. Were they right to worry?
i know it has been discussed a number of times on this forum, but this issue is so complicated and almost impossible to understand.
what is a generation in real terms?
watchtower spin doctors managed to buy this organization another 100 years of existence/business just by playing around with this word..
Make your JW bash every form of dishonesty that they are likely to need to use to weasel their way out of confronting your question, then ask it and use their own high standards to keep them honest.
so my situation is changing and i am trying to figure out the best way for me to handle this.
i am an unbaptized publisher married to a dub who was inactive when we met and when we married and during the course of our marriage, and just went back active a year and a half ago.
he is a full believing dub.
Ask as many questions as you want, but don't offer your own opinions. Make them do the talking and shut up except to keep them honest and to give them guilt trips if they try bullying, lying, changing the subject, or any other trickery to avoid answering your questions.
Remember at all times, that you must portray yourself as asking because you want to understand the Truth, not because you are Satan's minion trying to steal their salvation away from them.
i have a number of older wt publications.
due to downsizing, i would like to get rid of them.
if some of are of value and have not being scanned, i could scan them for all to share.
Yes, they have. They are probably all able to be found as PDFs somewhere on the net. Search the forum first. Start a thread asking for a copy, with the name and date of a publication, and there is a good chance someone will upload a copy.
some souls here may feel i was a little harsh.
if so, i am deeply sorry.
i was abused by a handful right from the start, presumably on the basis of the avatar picture (and 2001 vintage).. when visiting dubland, i often find that others start fights with me - for whatever reason, and i provide quite a supply of them - and when it doesn't quite go the way they expected, they cry persecution.

That has been scanned already. Pm me if no one posts it.
while researching something else, i came across these two comments from a wt on how we should view the blood issue, when it comes to our pets.. *** w64 2/15 p. 127 questions from readers ***.
"would it be a violation of the scriptures for a christian to permit a veterinarian to give blood transfusions to a pet?
by all means, to do so would be a violation of the scriptures.".
I remember my Dad having a crisis over what he was going to do with all the blood and bone fertilizer he swore by, and had just bought. It was bought to pour out on the ground but ......
Then there were the Dubs that had to shop around to find food for their chickens that didn't have blood in it. Not much of that here in NZ at the time.
Never mind that a speedy hen will catch a mouse and woof it down without hanging it to bleed out while it praises Jehovah for it's meal. Our average Dubby would still eat it's eggs without a twinge of conscience because the chicken did it, not them.
so my folks went to the meeting today and somehow i got brought up and they gave them my address so they can call on me because i'm inactive,i am upset about it because they didn't ask me first,i told my parents i wish they hadn't of done that without asking me first and my dad's response was are you not baptised?
and i said yes when i was 17 and i don't want to talk to anyone (i'm 51 now) and want to avoid any discussions that may cause me to lose my relationships with family that is still in,,so now i feel my successful fade will be jeapordized.
He raised you in a church with a history of failed prophetic mumbo jumbo before you were even born. Now he wants to 'out' his own kid for leaving his failed doomsday church. He needs to grow a pair and admit he made a mistake raising you in that church. If he hasn't got the cajones to do that, he can at least call the dogs off so that his actions don't require that he destroys his relationship with his kid.
Don't accept any responsiblity for his actions and make sure he knows that you are very disappointed that he chose to raise you in a church who's god has a long history of not doing anything that it's leaders pretend it is going to do.
